called @livingwater and talked with Jodi about partnerships, got our Ethiopian return-trip-letters printed off, called @palm and fixed my phone, tumblr’ed, called a few business referrals, and ate 2x… so far.

good day i’d say.

what did you do today?

Stop following goals you’re reluctant to pursue. Find ones that will keep you awake at night with excitement.

“A worker’s appetite works for him,

For his hunger urges him on.”

today i want to refresh your memory on HUNGER. not the type of hunger that makes your belly gurggle, not the type that makes you irritable when you don’t eat lunch, or the type that controls your mid-day schedule. i want to talk to you about the type of HUNGER that fuels your desires… sometimes this type of hunger has similar symptoms as the food type, but this type of hunger goes much DEEPER.

think back to the last time you were so passionate about something that it occupied your mind every free moment you got and often cut in line ahead of the brain waves that should have been focused on what you were doing in that moment. i know you all have had those moments, those special times when passion fueled your action, when your… “HUNGER urged you on”.

i want you to be hungry for hunger. i have done a lot of thinking about hunger lately and i want to share some words that relate: CRAVE, THIRST, DESIRE, STARVE, WANT, HURT.

that last one strikes me - “hurt” - to want something SO BAD that you thirst for it, that you are starving, your DESIRE that  _______  so much that everything changes…

whatever starts that craving leads you to

hunger pains (whether mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual),

then your mind starts to loose normal control,

then your passion for that something starts to increase,

followed by great desire,

then there is a BREAKING MOMENT - stay hungry and famished or move forward and seize.

so you move forward and your desire turns to action, action to progress, progress to fulfillment… but here is the tricky part; you want to STAY hungry, but also be filled with what you seek. what i mean by that is this: if you are full and not hungry you stop thinking about food and the proccess starts all over. in our real-world application of going for YOUR GOALS AND PASSIONS, you dont want to start all over, you simply want to keep the ball rolling, kep being hungry for your passions, keep moving forward and taking hold of your dreams. all the while being satisfied from your intake enough to keep you motivated.

okay, hats enough ranting for now.

love ya,

caf
